 Job Links is a non profit  resource that facilitates career opportunities for people with developmental disabilities who want competitive work.  Our services are provided at no cost  to the employer. Job Links is a service of the Norfolk Association for Community Living (NACL). NACL is a United Way member agency.

Our Objectives

•        Assist people to obtain and maintain employment
•        Provide pre-employment skills training
•        Provide support and on-the-job training to develop work related skills
•        Promote our services and benefits to local employers
•        Develop local employment opportunities

•        No-cost individualized job training
•        Job matching and pre-screened applicants based on employer’s needs
•        Persons actively seeking part-time, full-time, casual and seasonal positions
•        Linkage to potential funding sources
•        Follow up training and support

•        Access to pre-employment training such as: resume development, interview skills, job search techniques, skills workshops
•        Increase job skills
•        Increase financial independence
•        Assistance in matching career interests and skills to attain goals
•        Increase self-esteem
•        Support and training on-the-job

•        Act as a facilitator/liaison between the employee and employer on a regular basis
•        Develop detailed work routines, outlining all job duties
•        Counselling clients regarding work skills, employee conduct and employer expectations
•        Provide on-the-job training at the work site to assist in learning job duties
